SUPPORT - RODOPI DAILY MAINTENANCE
Fully automating your billing and provisioning is a
serious task. Any fully automated professional billing system requires
daily maintenance by a knowledgeable technician. Rodopi is not an
exception; it requires an Administrator who is responsible for
installing Rodopi and monitoring its functionality. We highly
recommend our three-day Rodopi technical training
for such an Administrator.
The following daily maintenance tasks have to be
performed in order to make sure that your Rodopi is running properly.

Monitor Windows Event log of Rodopi web
server machine – If you see any Rodopi errors address them
immediately

Monitor System State – From the
Administration Menu find the System State link. If you see any
errors or warnings address them immediately.

Check the Rodopi Daily Billing job in SQL -
This SQL job runs once a day and is responsible for billing your
customers. If this job does not finish successfully you need to
investigate the errors right away.

Monitor procedure logs in Filter Search –
If you see any Procedures that have not finished successful
investigate the errors.

Monitor events log in Filter Search –
Look for any events that were not processed successfully, address
the errors.

Check for Pending domains - From Filter
Search check for “pending domains” i.e. domains that you have
sold and were not submitted for registration. Submit those domains

Monitor undelivered letters - From Filter
Search choose “Undelivered letters”, check for the reason why
a letter was not delivered and address the issue immediately.

Monitor failed Credit Cards - From Filter
Search choose “Failed Credit Cards”, check for the reason why
a Credit Card has failed and address the issue immediately.
Failing to perform these tasks daily may result in
serious problems. Credit cards may not charge, billing records may be
out of date etc. Rodopi will not be responsible for any malfunctions
of your system due to lack of daily maintenance. Furthermore, Rodopi
Support plan does not include help with issues that were caused by
lack of daily maintenance. For example, if your Rodopi Daily Billing
job failed on 1-1-01 and you contacted Rodopi support on 1-7-01 , they
may or may not be able to help you.
