Main Additions

OPEN API Rodopi 5.2 provides an API, which allows your ISP to complete customize the front end of Rodopi. The front end means anything that is visible to the end customer i.e. the Customer Subscription and the Customer Support sections.

New TAX Module A new TAX module is available for Rodopi 5.2. The Module works in conjunction with the Vertex software, which is the leading software for tax calculation. Vertex keeps a database with all taxes in all of the United States and Canada The Rodopi tax module connects to that database and charges each and every one of your customers the correct tax amount. As new taxes are created, changed etc. your Rodopi will automatically be updated. This module is a necessity for companies who do business in many different areas and cannot possibly keep track of all different taxes.

New Rodopi Payment Gateway module included. The Rodopi Payment Gateway module is included in Rodopi 5.2. You can start using Rodopi Payment Gateway without any additional patches or fixes. To learn more about the benefits of RPG, click here.

Automatic Installation / Upgrade The Rodopi 5.2 install will automatically recognize if you have any Modules or MISPs installed. The installation will automatically upgrade all your modules (VOIP, Bandwidth manager, Marketing Manager, DSL module) to the latest version. If you have MISPs the installation program will give you an option to upgrade each MISP separately.

MISP Features

MISP installation Rodopi 5.2 allows you to install a new MISP yourself. Simply run the install shield again and you will get an option to install a new MISP.

License for MISP With Rodopi 5.2 you can allocate specific number of licenses to each MISP. For example, if you have 10,000 Rodopi licenses and five different multiple ISPs you can allocate different amounts of licenses to each ISP .

Additional Features

New Usage Threshold The ability to set a threshold on a plan. This feature is for plans that have usage associated with them ( ex. $20 for 5 hours and $2 for each additional hour). The threshold will protect you from abuse of usage, it will only allow a certain amount of usage. Change of Pricing for Plans Already in Use Rodopi 5.2 allows you to prorate all accounts automatically before you change the pricing of a plan. Example, if you have 100 customers subscribed to a 19.95 per month plan and you change the price to 21.95 in the middle of the month. You can now automatically prorate all these customers with the original price for the first part of the month and the new price for the second part.

Event Scripts Rodopi 5.2 gives the functionality of indexing multiple details of the same type with one Event Script. Example, if you have a plan that has three different email address you can provision all three of them with the same Event Script.

Track your Licenses better The Licensing in Rodopi 5.2 is completely renewed. You can now see how many licenses you have straight from the web interface. There is also a license for each module, VOIP , Bandwidth manager etc.

Fractional Increments for Usage With Rodopi 5.2 you can set a usage with fractions not just whole numbers. Example, you can have a usage $10 for 2.5 hours of use and $5 for each .5 additional hours.

Fee for mailing invoices Set a fee for mailing an invoice by land mail. The fee will be automatically added to every invoice generated.

Features in Service Pack 1

Top Up Cards These cards are an alternative way of payment. Instead of paying with a credit card , a customer can go to a nearby store and purchase a Top Up card , which has a PIN number and a value. The customer can then enter that PIN in Rodopi's Online Customer Support section and a payment will be applied to his/hers account.
