RODOPI 5.2 PRODUCT FEATURES - SECURITY

RODOPI is web enabled and is built to take full advantage of the security features of NT and the web server (we recommend Microsoft's IIS). You can grant access to the various areas in RODOPI to specific departments in your company. For stronger security you can use SSL and Microsoft Internet Explorer as a client interface with NTLM authentication.

RODOPI uses a special interface (UASI) to upload scripts for creating and maintaining accounts via FTP. Since this is supposed to happen over your LAN, you can deploy local security measures to protect this interface - e.g. you shouldn't allow co-located servers on the same network segment, and you can use a firewall or TCP/IP wrappers to allow FTP access to the servers only from the RODOPI server.
