VOICE over IP    -  INTRODUCTION 

Voice over IP allows ISPs to provide long distance phone services that are usable, affordable and of good quality. Although these phone services utilize the Internet, the consumers (the people making and recieving the phone calls) need not have a computer, or an internet connection, or even realize that they are talking through the internet.

Voice over IP is a perfect opportunity for an ISP to leverage its internet presence, in order to enter in a new area of telecommunications.
