Hello, We currently use rodopi for our billing needs and it serves
them very well. We have recently been aquired along with 7 other ISPs
and there is interest in migrating the other 6 to rodopi as they all
seem to love our billing system.

I want to take a minute and praise Rodopi Support. I posted
yesterday with a problem we were having with our Rodopi server. A
gentleman by the name of A.J. called me not once but three times
today. He spent several hours on the phone helping us resolve our
problem. He was extremely friendly and very well versed in Rodopi as
well as SQL. It is great to see Rodopi Support is there when you need

If you attend Jason's [technical training] class on Rodopi he
covers very well all of the security holes, as well as fixes. I used
his recommendations on directory security, and seems to have worked
fine. I would highly recommend this course to everyone!!!

The domain registration service through Names4ever kicks ass! We
totally love it. That feature alone literally paid for Rodopi in the
first week of use.
The Knowledge Base module is fantastic. We customized the html
pages for the KB and linked it into our support site. Check it out
at: http://support.acmeinternet.com/kb
The Rodopi Knowledge Base module has become an integral part of
the support we provide to our customers. One of the features we use
the most is sending a customer a link directly to a particular
article in the KB. That saves a lot of time when answering support
email and gets the customer used to checking the KB for solutions to
their problems.
So overall, the domain registrations and KB totally make running
Rodopi very worthwhile for us.

After spending some time playing with the new event types in V5.1,
I have to say that there is some really cool stuff here.
In particular, I just went through automating some provisioning
using the new Remote SQL Script event type, and it worked like a
charm. This is pretty neat...it lets you execute a SQL Script when
any event fires, complete with replaceable parameters, on any SQL
Server in your environment.

We got the intergration to work. We think by setting up the test
platform web interface that the services packs we finally applied
correctly to the MISP verion of our RODOPI. Plus using the
ti-rodopi.exe that went with RODOPI's SP2 for version 5, we think it
finally all came together.

Hello. A+Net supplies services to my company Surya Inc. Earlier
today I needed a copy of a billing statement that was requested by my
company's A/P department. I tried to access this information via your
web site but was unable because the passwords I had were out of date.
I contacted your billing department by phone in an attempt to get
this information but was politely told that the information could not
be given because I could not reliably verify that I was the owner of
the account.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for looking out for your users. I
realized that anyone posing as myself (or anyone else in my company)
could have called to get this information and make changes to the
account without authorization. I'm glad that someone is keeping an
eye out for us. As for my plight, after rummaging through some other
documents I came accross some information that your support person
could use and I received the info that I needed.

I wish to take a moment to express appreciation to the efforts of
Ken Lee.
On Tuesday our daily RODOPI billing process would not run and he
worked with us for 2 days extensively to restore backups, test
solutions, and then he worked to scour the database for dates that
were outside the valid range. RODOPI software should have detected
that when one of our users entered July 30 2000 as a date that was
invalid and rejected it.
Ken worked diligently to resolve this problem even though he could
not have prevented it.
Thank you to Ken, AJ, Eric, and others who helped us to fix this
problem and get us back to production.

I am absolutely astonished.
I contacted Rodopi with a problem by e-mail. There was a very
prompt response back with trouble shooting instructions.
When the trouble shooting instructions reached the "tell us
it is still in trouble" stage, I sent e-mail to them with that
info.
Shortly they replied and said they would check in via PC-Anywhere.
They did but the "port" was busy. The port became available
and I e-mailed them that.
Shortly they reported back that the problem was a config. issue on
my system, and that they had taken care of it.
Total elapsed time, less than 3 hours.
Really good service!!! There have been changes at Rodopi!!!.

Jason was an indispensable resource during the data migration and
RODOPI upgrade. His approach, persistence, immense knowledge of the
technologies involved and his “can do” attitude enabled us to
work through numerous obstacles and complete the project in a timely
manner. I’d hate to even consider how this project might have
turned out had he not been involved. The success of this project
should have a tremendous impact on the company by enabling us to take
advantage of the many new features and improved functionality of
RODOPI 5.0.

I think that RODOPI's offerings are a market leader .... not only
because your software is well suited to some of the applications that
we are addressing, but also because I have looked at your software
quite thoroughly and I think it is excellent. You have done it so
well. And in addition I think that the direction taken by Rodopi in

Our information system is based around RODOPI, an absolutely
incredible software suite that integrates billing, authorizing,
subscription plans, customer service, and technical support into a
formal system that allows us to collect, store, process, and analyze
our critical data. What separates our CBIS from other ISP’s that do
not use RODOPI is that it’s totally web enabled, we can
authorize/de-authorize, answer billing questions, and monitor the
network remotely. The integration of customer service, authorizing,
and technical support eliminates duplicating data entry. The software
features UASI (automatic account support interface) which
incorporates a ticketing and knowledge database which creates reports
to monitor data for all of our departments. I have not even touched
upon other features such as; RADIUS interface, bank reconciliation,
and on-line statement review. It’s a scaleable product running on
NT using MS SQL database at our location, but has universal billing
interface to accept information from a variety of UNIX and NT servers
should we happen to acquire or merge with another ISP in the future
our system is compatible. O.K., now I have painted such a glowing
picture of our new ISP...

I think Rodopi is the BEST product of it's type out there. One of the
things that I like best about it is the way the users become part of
a community, so to speak. It kind of reminds me of the BBS days where
people would write their mods and share them, and others would do the
same. Basically, the users could modify things to their needs and
likes. Rodopi kind of fits this mold. They've got an excellent
product that can be built upon and customized, to an extent.
I also agree, what I've seen of v5, it looks like a pretty decent
upgrade. What I'm glad to see, is they listened to their customers
about their needs. Things like plain text invoicing, easier/cleaner
DNS administration, etc.

I did run into a problem when I tried to put my registration # in,
it wouldn't take.
I called your tech support and they responded immediately and knew

"I have to tell you that not only is your product superior to
any that we've evaluated or used, but, your technical support is
second to none.
We had a slight problem on New Years Day and were quite surprised
when we didn't have to wait hours or until the next business day to
get a response from the Rodopi Tech Support Team. Needless to say,
the problem was quickly and properly fixed and on January 1, 2000. I
couldn't believe that anyone was even working that day.
When it comes to a billing package Rodopi is the top dog. Since
we've begun using Rodopi, our business has become much more efficient
and we've found that we save money because Rodopi quickly eliminates
the non-paying customers by shutting their account down, thus
reducing the bandwidth and lines used by folks who don't pay their
bills.
To me, Rodopi is my bookkeeping department!"
