Our goal is to relieve your pain and stabilize your condition for lasting results, in the
fewest number of visits and least amount of your time. Contrary to what some people think,
we don't believe that most conditions require continuous visits for the rest of your life.
What
to expect during your first appointment.
You will be greeted by friendly staff upon arrival.
If you're comfortable enough to sit for a few minutes, we'll first ask you to fill out a
patient application with health history. The application will ask questions about
your condition, previous injuries and treatment you've had - the basic background
information the doctor needs to know.
While we prepare your chart, you will be escorted to the doctor's
private office. You may watch a short video briefly explaining chiropractic care
and what you can expect.
Then, the doctor will come in and meet with you. In
addition to a general physical, orthopedic, and neurological examination, a chiropractic
examination also includes detection of tenderness, restricted join movement, levels of
pain, and any other signs of neck, back and joint problems.
Depending on the result of your examination, the doctor may decide
that X-rays are necessary. X-rays provide a "blueprint" and information
that may bring about a more favorable outcome to treatment. They may also be used to rule
out tumors, fractures, and other hidden conditions.
Once a diagnosis is made, the doctor will explain your conditions,
and recommend specific treatment. Depending on your condition and necessary
diagnostics, this may occur on your first visit, or the following day.
We will begin right 
away to get you out of pain as
quick as possible. By gently and precisely manipulating specific joints, the doctor
will adjust your spine to improve your spinal alignment and motion, and relieve muscle
spasms, pressure, or irritation. After your adjustment, you may feel immediate
improvement, although most people experience a gradual, progressive relief of their
symptoms.
You may be given other treatment to help restore your spinal
alignment and function. The clinic is equipped with the finest of therapeutic
modalities, including electro stimulation and intersegmental spinal mobilization to help
reduce pain and swelling. Additional braces and supports may be prescribed to relieve
pressure on your spinal joints.
After your first treatment, our plan will be to get you out of pain
quickly, correct the cause of your pain and keep pain from returning. The frequency
and duration of treatments will dependent upon your type of condition and how long you
have been suffering from it.
